SU professor elected president of state Dietetic Association
Dr. Cheryl Atkinson, associate professor of Nutrition and Director of the SU Dietetic Internship Program, is the new president-elect of the Louisiana Dietetic Association 2013-2014.Ìý

The LDA is an affiliate of the national Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.Ìý It is a professional organization representing over 1,000 Dietetic/Nutrition experts in Louisiana.
Ìý
Dr. Atkinson has held several positions of leadership with the association over the past eight years, and also serves in several capacities at the national level.

Over the past several years, Dr. Atkinson and her student interns have presented their original research at LDA’s annual conferences.
