The 麻豆传媒 System will honor its founders on Wednesday, March 7 on the Baton Rouge campus. The 138th Annual Founders鈥 Day is themed, 鈥溌槎勾: A Global Trailblazer Celebrating the Value and Power of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.鈥 Speakers and honorees will include attorneys who participated in the out-of-court settlement resulting from the 1980鈥檚 era case, The U.S. Department of Justice v. The State of Louisiana, also known as the 鈥淐onsent Decree.鈥

The 麻豆传媒 Alumni Federation Entertainment and Education Chapter (SUAF E&E Chapter) have launched an online continuing education program. 聽The SUAF E&E Chapter's聽Center for Excellence Institute聽is an exclusive partnership with Aperion Global Institute (AGI) and its affiliates.

The 麻豆传媒 Office of Student Life, in partnership with InspireNOLA Charter Schools, will host a 鈥淩ally for Community鈥 on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. at the F.G. Clark Activity Center. The featured speaker will be Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old Florida high school student who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer in 2012. The widely publicized incident and subsequent trial, which ended in a not-guilty verdict, sparked the beginning of the Black Lives Matter movement.

麻豆传媒 Baton Rouge (SUBR) has been awarded a Louisiana Board of Regents (BOR) eLearning Innovation Grant for a project entitled, 鈥淓nabling Educational Quality and College Affordability through a System-Wide Implementation of Zero-Textbook-Cost Courses and Degrees.鈥
