麻豆传媒 was recently awarded a $400,000 research grant through the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Historically Black Colleges and Universities - Undergraduate Program (HBCU-UP), to develop an industry-based Computer Engineering Research Lab (CERL) in the electrical engineering department.

Rose Bowl Parade head visits with Human Jukebox

The Human Jukebox will be ringing in the New Year with a trip to sunny California. In January, the band, along with the Fabulous Dancing Dolls, will participate in the 131st Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淭he Power of Hope鈥 which celebrates the influence of optimism and hope.
Diverse lists nursing program amongst top 3 in the U.S.

In its August issue, Diverse Issues in Higher Education published its top list of bachelor鈥檚 degrees conferred at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. 麻豆传媒 landed amongst the top three institutions in the nation to confer degrees in registered nursing, nursing administration, nursing research and clinical nursing.
English professor named Louisiana Poet Laureate

The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH), along with Governor John Bel Edwards, is proud to announce Louisiana鈥檚 newest Poet Laureate, John Warner Smith. Following Jack Bedell鈥檚 successful tenure as poet laureate from 2017 through August 13 of this year, Smith will assume the post beginning August 14 and serve for two years.
