Build a Career That Wins — in Sports Marketing

The Department of Management and Marketing is proud to announce the launch of the new Sports Marketing Program, beginning Spring 2026. Officially approved in October 2025, this program opens exciting pathways for those interested in the business side of sports — including marketing, branding, sponsorship, analytics, and athlete management.

The Sports Marketing Program is designed to meet students where their passions and career goals intersect. It offers:

  • A Sports Marketing Concentration for Marketing majors, and
  • A Sports Marketing Minor for non-Marketing majors who want to explore athlete branding, negotiation and persuasion, digital promotion, and more.

Students will gain the knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed in this fast-paced industry through engaging, industry-relevant coursework such as:

  • Sports Marketing
  • Athlete Marketing and Branding
  • Digital Marketing and Promotion
  • Marketing Analytics and Performance Tracking
  • Negotiation and Persuasion in Marketing

Through these courses, students will learn how to build fan engagement, develop brand partnerships, and apply marketing strategy in real-world sports contexts. Graduates will be prepared for roles in areas such as team operations, sponsorship management, digital media, and athlete branding.

Several Âé¶¹´«Ã½ alumni are already working in sports marketing, and this program creates a direct pipeline for future graduates to follow in their footsteps.
